Hard to Believe

It is hard to believe that the end of another month is already here. With that said, I just wanted to take a quick minute and look back at our month.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes to Ms. Sophia, Ms. Faria, and myself. My first birthday in SC was very nice and quiet and had a delicious cake!!

Within this month we had a spotlight look on the ASK students of MSM!! What a wonderful group of kids and great pics this month. Thank you again, Ms. Ryan for doing a wonderful job and all that you do. Look for the next class spotlight sometime in April.

Now to time for end of month announcements:

1. New menus and schedules are complete and ready for pick - up at your convenience.

2. Sign - up sheets for Spring Break are on the doors of each classroom. If your are a part-time, Ext. Day, or a Bergamo student, there is an extra cost for this whole week. Any questions, comments, and/or concerns - please contact the office.

3. Summer sign - up sheets are also on the doors. If you are 1st - 6th grades - then come to our fun Summer Camp spearheaded by our very own Ms. Ryan. She has a fun-filled summer planned. Pool days, homemade ice cream, hikes, parks, etc. Any questions, comments, and/or concerns - please contact the office. For Infant, T1, T2, and Primary - there are plenty of fun -filled activities planned as well, by our very own, Ms. Mary. And again, any questions, comments, and/or concerns - please contact the office.

4. DO not forget  - we are having Class Picture day 3 April at 9 am, so bring your best smile. This is only class pictures. Any questions, comments, and/or concerns - please contact the office.

All About ASK

As promised - I have chosen this month's spotlight class. ASK!!

For those who do not know what ASK is - it is the After School Kids Program.

After a rough start to the new year with teachers leaving for multiple reasons - we have finally found the perfect fit for the ASK!! Ms. Ryan. Since she had been here, she has managed to bring the groups of your precious ones together with in learning activities and cleaned up the ASK room and made it their own.


Starting out - she has adding new classroom decorations, in which the children helped clean and organize. They revamped the reading corner, reorganized the shelves, and restacked the books in somewhat of an orderly fashion. Then she added a craft corner - a few cubbies with a plethora of craft supplies for educational learning time before outside play.

This month has been a fun month for the ASK group. They celebrated Pi Day by making Sugar Free Banana Cream Pie - fun times.

We discovered that Ms. Ryan is a bird whisper. On Friday 16 March - a bird flew into the front door and stunned himself. Ms. Ryan collected him and rescued him until he was ready to fly away again.

On St. Pat's Day the class made some art and Lucky Charms Rice Krispie treats!! And, homemade slime!!!

Along with all of the new décor, reorganizing, and making the ASK room a part of us - all of the fun activities. Indoor bowling, snow globe bottles, and so much more.

Also, Ms. Ryan has planned the Summer Camp activities - so please stay tuned for more information and a complete summer schedule.

Mid-Month Missive

Hard to believe that we are already mid-month of March. Where as the time gone?! With that said, on to business.

Again do not forget that we have two birthdays at the end of this week. First Ms. Sophia on the 10th and Ms. Faria on the 11th. Since the 11th is a Saturday, feel free to spread birthday wishes on Friday for Ms. Faria.

Please note: Open enrollment is still in full swing- however, remember that registration for classes is on a first come, first serve basis. In order to secure your child's spot for the 2017 - 2018 School year, you will need to register as soon as possible. Especially for our Toddler Programs, as they fill up quickly. And as of the 13th March there will be an additional $25 fee for registration. At the moment- the cost is $125 for Infant, Toddler1 and Toddler 2, and Primary; and $175 for Lower and Upper Elementary.

Remember, that we have two Snow days at the end of next week. With that said, we have NO Montessori classes the 16th & 17th. Yes, we will have full care and if you are full -time, and are in Infant, T1, T2, and Primary the cost is included. If your children are in Bergamo, Brennan Hall, or ASK, then the days are an added cost. Any questions, comments, and concerns; please call the office.

Do not forget, I am choosing a class to be a feature next week. I will gets some fun facts, pictures, and any other interesting things about the class. Stay posted and I will let you know what class I chose. 

Disclaimer Shout Outs:

* New paperwork from DSS for extracurricular activities - so if your precious ones are in any of these: Happy Feet, Let's Dance, Carolina Karate, and Stretch-n-Grow, and you have not received your paperwork, please stop by the office and grab said form.

* The Brennan Hall Science Fair has been moved to a later date - April 7th. Stay posted for more details!!

* DO NOT forget to Spring Forward this weekend (Saturday Night)!!

*Summer calendars are being planned and I am in the midst of creating a sign-in sheet for the Summer Camp. Summer Camp is for 1st - 6th graders, with a $100 Activity fee, and is $140 weekly. Ms. Ryan has planned a lot of fun things and will need chaperones on a few of the outings. Any questions, comments, and/or concerns, please call the office - Heather or Amanda. As soon as the calendars are complete - I will give a shout out.

March News

Happy March - my favorite month!!

Spring is in this month!! We have three birthdays this month!! And we have a lot of fun things planned.

Just a quick shout out, I was able to celebrate my last day of February ringing in Mardi Gras with style. In Montana it is not such a big deal. So, I had my very first King Cake - my new addiction.

With that said, please make sure you see the pics of Ms. Faria's AM class if you have not already.

Now for March . . .

First off: we will celebrate Ms. Sophia on the 10th March, and Ms. Faria on the 11th March!!

Second, we have two set SNOW days - since winter is not as crazy this year, these days are still set as SNOW days. So, with that said, we will have NO MONTESSORI classes for the 16th and 17th March. We will have full child care provided.

DO not forget about St. Patrick's Day!! I know that the activity class has a few fun ideas prepared to ring in this fun day! DO NOT FORGET - WEAR GREEN and help celebrate.


And then: We will be having a Science Fair at Brennan Hall. The fair will be from 8am to 5 pm; stop by and see the great ideas of science from our Upper elementary students. GO Science!!!


20 March - First Day of Spring!!!!!

Again: we will celebrate Ms. Heather - 25 Mar. My first bday in SC and I am looking forward to NO SNOW on this day!! HA HA!!

I have been informed, we have reached the end of the Primary Parent meetings, as all the topics and subjects have been discussed. If there is any new info - I will let everyone know.

We are in Open Enrollment and have received a quite a few of the forms and fees have been paid. With that said, if you have not filled out the forms for the next school year (2017 - 2018), please do so. Open enrollment - what does that mean exactly:

This means that registration is now open to the public and registration for classes is on a first come, first serve basis. In order to secure your child’s spot in their classes for the 2017-2018 School Year, you will need to register as soon as possible. This is especially true for our Toddler Programs that fill up the quickest since there are so few spaces available. There is also a registration deadline set for March 13^th. Those that register after March 13th, will need to pay an additional $25 fee when registering.  

And lastly, starting in March I am going to pick a class and do a spotlight on the things that they are doing for the month. This spotlight will include insider details to the in-and-outs of classroom life and the activities within the classroom as well. I will include pictures and many other fun tidbits of things. So make sure you like and follow us on Facebook and look for your precious ones class(es)!! I promise to get them all!!
